Quiet Time

While there is never a loss of things to write about, I just have not had the time to pursue a given topic. The fact that September is quickly approaching doesn't help - I feel like I really need to enjoy what remains of summer.

I have some new responsiblities at work and a child starting school (which will change schedules around at my house) along with the usual stuff (eating, sleeping, etc.) I will continue to focus my efforts over at Beggars All but haven't quite decided what to do with this blog. Perhaps change to a more personal angle. Perhaps not.

Just thought I would update the 2 people who happen to read this blog. I wish I had more to share.

Use it to remind yourself of important goals. It helps to achieve aims when you put the pressure on yourself by making them public, but it also inspires others to do the same. Seeing others doing things makes you want to do them too. Reading 'big' books, engaging new influences (listening to and getting in memory and understanding ten great symphonies, string quartets?), doing new activities, going through a basic dictionary with your child (a very powerful thing to do for a child), in some fun but serious kind of way. Just throwing ideas out there...

That's actually a pretty good idea. I have slacked off in my reading and I could use some accountability.

Thanks!

I just discovered your web log (that makes 3)and I see you're talking about leaving.

Because I believe very little happens by chance I see where your blog is beneficial; keep it.

Your time for reaching more women might be right now. The Word says in Ecc 9:11 - The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.

In talking about chance, I discovered during my internet search a real cool website, named: Cake and A Prayer - www.cakeandaprayer.com.

Using my philosophy (nothing happens by chance) I ordered and sent a cake gift package to a relative. She raved on and on about it.

So that's two discoveries in my first internet search, you and A Cake and A Prayer and neither was by chance.

I would say "that makes 4", but I don't actually read this blog.
